Our Capabilities:
Smithweld's section bending capabilities encompass anlge, flat, pipe, square and rectangluar tubing, channel and beams. Capacity tables and possible bending orientations are provided for each section type.
Smithweld's plate rolling technique allows for rolling of plate from 1.6mm to 10mm in thickness. Such plate can be used in tanks, staircases and formwork and to create striking architectural features.
Mandrel bending of round tube and pipe allows for tight curves with minimal distortion. Ideal for complex, multi-bend items. Capacity tables and possible bending orientations are provided for pipes tubes.
Specialised Curving
We have expertise in a number of techniques for specialised curving projects including hay rakers, cones and spiral staircase spines and handrails. Previous projects have also encompassed items for play equiptment, roll bars and municipal bike racks.
